Behind Inci

There’s not a lot to say about Inci – I went there alone but I think if you read the first couple of lines you can see what stage of my Turkish life that visit was made.

After a brief, sticky affair with baklava, my relationship with Turkish desserts has been largely unfulfilling, but I’ve never abandoned hope.

Right….early on in the time  just after he’d left (I had been to New York for a week). And, it’s getting repetitive to keep pointing this out now but my food and relationship codependence and preoccupation was still here for all the world to see.

A pretty apt description of where I was – something unfulfilling but for which I wouldn’t give up hope.

Jesus, so strong is this pattern that I think for any new relationship I embark on, I will make sure to write at least one restaurant review per month so I can see whether I need to end it or not!
